Police in Ekiti on Tuesday arrested a man simply called Tosin Oluwatosin with a fresh human head in Ifaki-Ekiti, Ido/Osi local government area of the state. Oluwatosin was said to have committed the crime with his brother, David Oluwatosin, who is still at large. The suspect is presently being grilled by homicide detectives at the state police headquarters to explain the circumstances behind the murder of the 12-year-old victim.
Confirming the incident to journalists on Wednesday, the state police spokesman, Alberto Adeyemi, said Tosin was arrested at about 3:35 p.m. on Tuesday. He said the arrest was made possible by intelligence report at the disposal of the state command which deployed its men to the scene to arrest the suspects. Adeyemi said:
“Yes, it is true. One of the suspects is on the run. The victim is about 12 years old. But we are still looking for the severed body of the victim and we are also on the trail of the one at large. After investigation, the suspects would be charged to court.”
