The Nigerian Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, has reportedly ordered the Nigerian Army officers to capture the factional leader of the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau, dead or alive within 40 days.
According to a statement by the Army spokesperson, Sani Usman, Chief of Army Staff gave the order to the Theatre Commander, Operation LAFIYA DOLE, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru yesterday July 21st, asking the theater commander to employ all arsenal at his disposal to smoke out Shekau wherever he is hiding in the country. The statement also appealed to Nigerians to please assist the Army with any information that would lead to the accomplishment of this task.
