Gov. Okorocha Bars Traditional Rulers From Speaking In English Language

The use of English language by traditional rulers in any public function and in the conducting of the affairs of their communities in Imo state, has been barred by Governor Rochas Okorocha.
The Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has barred traditional rulers from speaking English Language in any public function and in the conducting of the affairs of their communities.
The influential APC chieftain gave the order on Tuesday during the handing over ceremony of the staff of office and certificate of recognition to 19 monarchs at the Government House, Owerri.
According to The Sun, Governor Okorocha said that traditional rulers in the state, must conduct their functions in Igbo language, or get an interpreter where necessary.
